Marileigh Schulte is a founding member of the Rancho Sante Fe Artists Guild & Gallery. She is a past member of Market Street Painters and a member of the Printmakers Atelier for the past three years under supervision of Francois Gilot. In addition, she is a member of the San Diego Portrait Society and National Artists Equity.
   Currently, Marileigh is impresario for Southern California artists and is an angel member of Oil Painters of America.
   Marileigh loves the dramatic effects of light, and the use of deep rich colors. She mostly enjoys figurative work in an impressionist style. Much of her work depicts figures because she was introduced to fashion design early in life. For many years, Marileigh was CEO of one of the most prestigious clothing and manufacturing companies in the United States. Years of sketching fashion models and designing fabric helped to expand her artistic abilities.
   Her work is displayed with pride in many private collections throughout the United States. Marileigh lives and plays in beautiful Rancho Sante Fe with husband Frank and their dogs, Cosmo, Bella, and Chance.
